Become an official affiliate member of Dodgeball Federation Australia (DFA), the official dodgeball Australian Governing Body.
DFA is a member of the World Dodgeball Association
DFA is the official governing body recognised by Sport Australia (Australian Sports Commission) and affiliated with the World Dodgeball Association (WDA) and Asian Dodgeball Federation. WDA is the official world governing body for dodgeball, working as a not for profit social enterprise across six continents in partnership with 62 national federations, delivering to over 70 million people worldwide. By 2020 WDA will be delivering across 70 nations to over 90 million participants.
The WDA successfully achieved GAISF Observer Status in 2017 to enable National Federations to secure National Olympic Committee and/or National Sports Association recognition. GAISF are the Global Association of International Sports Federation’s Membership Body that supports the infrastructure of the World Dodgeball Association on the approach to securing official International Olympic Committee Recognition.
DFA is the Dodgeball body officially recognised by the Australian government
DFA was recognised by the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) in 2018. Recognition by the ASC is a significant milestone for DFA in advancing the growth of dodgeball in Australia.
Recognition opens up many opportunities for DFA affiliates and members and infrastructure to grow the sport nationally. As the only recognised dodgeball governing body in Australia, members of the Australian Dodgeroos are able to wear the Commonwealth Coat of Arms at international tournaments, along with having access to the AIS higher performance facilities (made available to ASC recognised bodies).
Our Mission
Our mission is to promote, grow and develop Dodgeball across the nation. To do this, we want to have your league, club or University association as an affiliate member of the DFA.

Why become an affiliate member?
DFA affiliate members will have the opportunity to be part of the official governing body recognised by ASC and national framework of Australian Dodgeball, while also gaining special access to the latest news, tournaments, programs and national team selections.
