Dodgeball Federation Australia Friday Night Championships
DFA Friday Night Championships. 
Date: Friday, July 31.
Venue: Deakin University YMCA – 221 Burwood Highway, Burwood.
Enter Deakin Uni through Entrance 1 on Burwood Highway and make your way up the road past the set of traffic lights. Near the gym, walk up the stairs to level 1 – the basketball courts are there.
Registration On The Day:
OPEN: Player Registrations will be open from 5:50pm inside the venue.
All Players must sign a waiver and provide tournament payment before entering the event. We encourage everyone to register early.
Early Bird Registration (registered by July 18) – $25 per player
Standard Registration – $30 per player
CLOSE: Registrations will strictly close at 6:30pm.
Players will be welcomed by DFA staff at 6:30pm, who will do a quick run-through of the tournament, rules and any queries players may have.
Tournament Format:
Group Stages: Teams are split up into two groups of five teams, playing each team in their group once.
The top two team from each group will progress to the Knockout Stages.
Matches will be best of 7 sets, with a maximum of 3 minutes per set. All 7 sets are played during the Group Stages. Each team will play four matches during the Group Stages.
Knockout Stages: Matches will be best of 7 sets, with a maximum of 3 minutes per set. Once the match has been won by either team, the referee will blow for full time.

If votes are tied, the count-back system is implemented. The player that accumulated higher vote games (i.e. more 3 vote games and so on) is awarded with the higher placing.
